Driven by a passion for food, good cooking and hosting, Helen has always loved getting friends and family together around a generous table. Serving boards are a constant feature. The Board of Boards started as an idea to realise some of her designs using quality environmentally sourced materials and local craftmanship. Born and raised in the West Midlands, and living near Lichfield and Hoar Cross, she is very engaged with her local community and rural shops, and proud to join the ranks of independant small businesses.

Jens has a background in making musical instruments and has enjoyed working with quality hardwoods for the last 30 years. Having access locally to a well equiped workshop has been a huge benefit in setting up “The Board of Boards”. While essentially hand made, our boards can also be further customised or personalised using state of the art machinery on site. Final shaping, sanding and finishing is always totally done by hand to strike the right note.
